Under the Work at Height Regulations 2005, employers and contractors must follow the Hierarchy of Control—a legal framework that puts safety first:
- Avoid working at height where possible
- If unavoidable, prevent falls using equipment like edge protection or MEWPs
- If risks remain, minimise the distance and consequences of a fall
