Roof Surveys in Poole
At Drone Above, we provide high-resolution roof inspections using the latest drone technology — helping you see every angle without stepping a foot off the ground. Whether you’re investigating a potential leak, preparing for repair work, or need regular inspections for commercial property compliance, our drone-based inspections offer a safer, quicker, and often more cost-effective solution.
We proudly work across Hampshire, Sussex, Dorset, and offer UK-wide coverage for larger or specialist jobs.
Why choose a drone based roof survey / inspection?
Roof surveys / inspections have traditionally been time-consuming, expensive, and sometimes dangerous. Hiring scaffolding, erecting towers, or sending someone up a ladder introduces cost, complexity, and risk. With Drone Above, you get a detailed look at your roof — fast, safe, and without any of the hassle.
Using high-spec DJI drones equipped with stabilised 4K cameras and precision sensors, we provide clear, crisp imagery that captures even the hardest-to-reach areas. This means you can identify problems early, avoid unnecessary expenses, and plan any required work with confidence.
Our clients range from homeowners and landlords to estate agents, surveyors, roofers, letting agents, and insurance professionals all seeking a smarter way to inspect rooftops.
What’s included in a roof survey / inspection?
Our standard drone roof inspection includes:
- Multiple high-resolution still photographs from a variety of altitudes and angles
- Close-up shots of key areas such as chimney stacks, flashing, leadwork, guttering, valleys, ridge tiles and skylights
- 4K aerial video footage if required, showing roof condition in real time
- A full visual sweep of all accessible roof elevations and associated features
- Safe inspection of awkward or elevated sections, such as flat roofs, dormers or rear extensions
- Digital delivery of files within 24–48 hours of flight, ready to review or forward to your contractor or insurance provider
If you need specific images for example, of a chimney stack after high winds, or a leaking section above an upper-storey window — we can focus on those areas as part of the flight.
All data is yours to keep, and we’re happy to resupply it on request.
Where drone roof inspections are especially useful
Our drone inspection service is suitable for:
- Domestic homes with access issues, unsafe roofing or suspected water ingress
- Commercial buildings such as warehouses, offices or retail units
- Estate agency listings, where clear roof condition imagery builds trust
- Historic or listed buildings, where scaffold access could cause damage
- Insurance investigations needing a visual record of storm damage
- Routine maintenance inspections for landlords or block managers
- Post-repair verification, so you can see exactly what’s been done
We often work alongside roofers, tradespeople and building surveyors who prefer to get a clear view before quoting or to inspect the quality of recent work without sending someone back up a ladder.
Are you a surveyor, roofer or letting agent?
Our drone inspection packages are popular with professionals who need fast, reliable information without incurring the cost or complexity of access equipment. You get the data you need to make decisions, backed by photographic evidence, all with minimal disruption to tenants or property owners.
If you manage multiple properties or work across multiple sites, ask us about bulk inspection pricing or regular flight packages.

Our process
- Pre-Survey Planning
We assess the property via Google Street View, local mapping, and airspace tools. We also check the weather and confirm your objectives in advance. - Onsite Visual Check & Risk Assessment
On arrival, we confirm surroundings, assess hazards, and set up a safe launch zone. This includes a check against known power lines, tree cover or obstructions. - Drone Flight & Data Capture
We capture a full set of stills and/or video footage using our DJI Mini 4 Pro, always flown within line of sight and in line with UK drone law. - Delivery
You’ll receive a download link within 24–48 hours. Need something urgently? We’ll prioritise turnaround where possible.
What we don’t do
We are not roofing contractors or structural surveyors. That means:
- We don’t diagnose roof problems or provide written assessments
- We don’t quote for repairs or provide condition reports
- We do not physically access the roof or use thermal imaging
What we offer is clear, factual imagery so you or your chosen professional can make informed decisions.
Areas we cover
Our team is based in Hampshire but covers:
- Sussex
- Dorset
- Wiltshire
- Surrey
- And nationwide by arrangement
We’ve recently carried out inspections in places like Winchester, Bognor Regis, Petersfield, Andover, Brighton, Poole, and Northumberland. Whether it’s a townhouse in Southampton or a countryside cottage in Cumbria, we’re here to help.
